No better time to jump in to (or for some, return to) this game!
My review is short, simple, and sweet:FFXI is quicker, easier, and MORE FUN to play. Everything is so much more realistic in terms of playability and reward is far more frequent than when this game began 9 years ago.If you've been thinking of trying or even returning, honestly there's no better time than now!! Also, now is a prime time especially since you get that Destrier Beret for starting with this collection! That thing's amazing!

Amazing game :)
I played this game for a little bit when it was released for xbox 360 but found it too difficult to level or even find people around the starting area's. But when I saw this I figuered "oh what the heck I guess I'll give it another shot" and I'm so glad I did. They made soloing much easier and with the bonus item leveling is much easier now. The game also has lots of new players now which is great because I love to do quests with other players. I reccomend this to anyone that loves MMO's from the casual to the hardcore.p.s. - If you do some searching through google you can find this for $9.99. With that kind of deal it just wouldn't make sense not to buy this game ;)

wonderful game for large groups or parties
This game is a major winner. It is playable by 9 or more players. There are very few games that are truly fun for such large groups. Werewolf (and this version, Ultimate Werewolf) is truly fun for large groups! This version has decent instructions. It has many variations and roles. Most add some interest tot he game. A few of the roles are dull. I wish they included the Little Girl role. (The little girl is allowed to peek - it is fun and works well).The compact edition of this game is very low cost. You have not played a better social game. If you like to get in a game with a gathering of people, this is it. The game get better with more and new people. BEST FAMILY GAME
We as a family played this game every friday night when i was a kid. Everyone bought there pennies and with grandmom's delicious food the game was on. I never won and always cried but that never stopped me from playing. So if you want a game that you can play with family and friends this is the one to purchase. Top to learn more

I get together with the girls in my neighborhood and we play this game once a month. It is a real easy game to learn. It's fun. Sometimes we play for gifts too. We also play for quarters. It is kind of like bingo just a little fancier. You have a deck of cards and you call off each card and each person places a chip on the space that has been called on their board. we put quarters in the middle before each round. so if you are playing for a straight line or diagonal or whatever, you win the quarters in the middle. Sometimes we make it a little more challenging and play for full house or 4 of a kind, the cards have a row on them that are full house or 4 of a kind, so all you have to do is watch for that one row to fill up. It takes longer to get 4 of a kind or full house so the game lasts longer too. we also do a kitty for four corners. There are lots of ways to play this game. Good for get-togethers. Top to learn more

Love this game. The only complaint I have is that there are some irregular cards. They were printed incorrectly or duplicate therefore its hard when people win because there are multiple winners in one round. The game is not formatted to be like that. Perfect for anyone who wants to play but may not have access to a credit card. They work perfectly. A+!!!
A short, sweet, simple review, which is exactly how easy it is to use these. I give them to my friends without access to credit cards, and for my nephew who plays most of the games that these work with. They are easy to enter, and he has a choice to add the card as a month of game time to his account, or to add Station Cash to his account, which allows him to buy things within the various games. I highly recommend these as gifts, and it's especially great to give the game as a gift to someone who wants to play (), along with two or three of these so they don't have to worry about paying until they know if they want to stick with the game. Be Safe as you accesss SOE
This card is worthwhile mainly if you do not wish to use your credit card on the NET and have one less location storing your financial information. And when on sale. This prepaid card at the current price allows you to play your game subscriptions on SOE as if you pay month-to-month using a credit card or you may use it to procure Station Cash. Ok, not terribly well organized
I bought this book after finding it at a museum in D.C. where they only had the beaten-up display copy left. After looking through it several times I've come to believe it isn't quite what you'd normally expect. Most card games are included, and many in-detail, but the descriptions and layout of each section are wanting. If you're planning to learn a new game and then teach it to others, you'll have to read the entry many times, then probably check online as well. I understand that many of the oldest games (like Bezique) probably have hundreds of little variations which are difficult to compile, but presenting a good scaffold for learning those variations is what a book like this should do. At the relevant points, describe those differences, or simply acknowledge that play may differ.It's almost meant to be more of a survey of card games, rather than a relied-upon resource, and several games weren't listed properly in the index.
